Conscious Lifestyle is a lifestyle one can adopt by living life mindfully all the time by taking in charge of one’s thoughts & emotions followed by words & actions. Therefore one can live their life by surrendering (alternative) to flow, living each moment consciously. It’s about practicing to be at the present or the ‘now’ moment at each and every second of our life or as much as possible. This can bring about positive changes into our lives in all the aspects be it relationships, career, health, and overall contentment.

Conscious lifestyle comes with being aware of one’s habits, thoughts(and the intentions behind them), feelings & behavioral patterns, and keeping a check on all of them as much as possible. The habits can be healthy or unhealthy, thoughts & feelings can be positive or negative, and behavioral patterns can include levels of tolerance, impulsiveness, flexibility, etc. If one follows this lifestyle they can easily be able to distinguish between wanted & unwanted habits, thoughts, feelings & patterns leading to a healthier & a happier life.

What Constitutes in Conscious Lifestyle?

As mentioned above, conscious lifestyle is being aware about oneself and keeping a check upon our habits, thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns so that we can remove the unsought part of them, and focus on the necessary part. The habits can involve food habits (healthy or unhealthy), screen time (mobile hone, laptop, television), physical activity (less or more active), and other routine activities. Once we start being mindful about our habits, we can easily differentiate between healthy & unhealthy habits and can slowly rule out the unhealthy ones from our routine. For example one might realise their habit of binging on packaged snacks & with mindfulness and consciousness they might change this habit and eat fruits instead of those unhealthy snacks.

Thoughts & feelings go along with each other as the quality of thoughts & the intentions behind them directly affect the quality of our feelings. In this process you need to observe your thinking pattern & quality (for example they might be repetitive & negative in quality). We generally have a tendency to unknowingly generate thoughts which aren’t healthy for us. For example one might have had a bad experience during their childhood while performing on stage which made the person lose their confidence even in their adulthood; so now whenever the person goes on a platform, they still think they’re not good enough & they tremble in fear. Therefore conscious lifestyle can help us observe & reflect on our thoughts and the intentions behind them, and encourage us to accept ourselves as we are. Simultaneously taking conscious pauses in between the thoughts by observing our breath for even a minute or two can bring about desired changes in our thought patterns and feels.

ls into consideration out of many. They are – Gratitude; Forgiveness; Awareness; Kritagyashama; Relaxation; Prayer; Meditation; Sharing; Giving; Visualization; Affirmation.

Behavioral patterns consist of our reactions to specific situations, level of impulsiveness, the way we talk with different kinds of people in our lives (profession, personal, etc.), level of tolerance, level of flexibility, level of confidence, etc. If we are more mindful about how we behave, it becomes easy for us to spot out the behaviors of ourselves that are not virtuous or not beneficial for us. For example one can find out that they’re generally rude to their subordinates and the ground staff at their workplace. If they become aware about that trait of themselves, they might be able to be more mindful about it whenever they find themselves that way again and then can slowly eliminate that mannerism.

In order to profoundly follow the Conscious Lifestyle, we need to initially pause, observe our patterns of habits, thoughts (and intentions behind them) and behavior. To bring about a change in those patterns, practice certain feels and make them a part of ourselves. These feels are called Conscious Feel Practices (CFP) which help you to replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. In White Light Elements we have taken certain feels into consideration out of many. They are – Gratitude; Forgiveness; Awareness; Kritagyashama; Relaxation; Prayer; Meditation; Sharing; Giving; Visualization; Affirmation.
